Our mission is to service the needs of local communities with respect to health, poverty eradication and education & training.
We do this by listening to the people. Who better knows the needs of the community than the community itself? Many have little say in the decisions that affect their life. Generation after generation are condemned to a life of poverty and uncertainty.
By focusing on people’s basic rights, Localaid is able to take a long-term view of development. We sit with mothers, fathers, HIV patients, street children and many other members of the community and simply listen to their needs and the challenges they face. Most of the time, these are ignored.
We raise a voice for the economically disadvantaged and empower them to stand up for their rights, rights to safe water, food, education, shelter, healthcare and a life of dignity. We give them the tools to survival.
Our creation of innovative ideas and project modules allows us to reach and impact such diverse fields as education, social development, health and community building.
We envision a world in which vulnerable children and marginalized communities are given the respect, protection and promotion of all their human rights.
