This Easter we distributed food to needy street children, our boys from ‘The New Horizon Centre’ also participated in giving out the food as part of our ‘Streetboys 4 Streetboys’ program. Brian, one of our boys said “It felt really good to give them food and spend time with them, I hope to do this every Easter and every Christmas”.
There are over 60,000 street children in Nairobi alone, it’s always heartbreaking to see so many of them during our street work but our team felt blessed that they could put a smile and fill the stomachs of at least a few of them.

We identified some very eager youths who are ready to make a change and take part in programs that would lift them out of poverty and off the streets. We hope to do this through networking with other organisations that work with street youth.

It was so sad to hear the story of this little boy and the challenges he faces everyday… he later asked if we could bring him some shoes as the hot weather was severely damaging his feet.
Back to street life again…waiting and hoping someday, someone will care enough to take him in.
